Easily the most important event on New Zealand’s fashion calendar for the year, NZ Fashion Week 2019 is once again almost underway. Monday the 26 August marks the official start to action packed week, with trade buyers and media attending by invite only through to Thursday 29 August. From Friday the 30 August it’s the public’s turn, tickets go fast so its best to get in quick if you don’t want to miss out!
Held at the Auckland Town Hall and Viaduct Centre, the NZ Fashion Week 2019 line-up includes designers from around New Zealand and overseas. Big names like Zambesi and Augustine are set to hit the runway along with Hailwood, Kate Sylvester, and Jockey. Ruby and Rain, P I A, and Katherine Wilson also feature, with between 80 to 100 designers showcasing their designs during the week.

The Resene Designer Runway Shows
With a number of shows spread throughout the weekend everyone will get the chance to catch a Resene Designer Runway Show. Audiences will be treated to over thirty minutes of fashion fun with pieces from each feature designer. Take the opportunity to get a sneak preview at in-season pieces and on trend styles across the board. Ticket prices include entry to the venue, and entry to the Designer pop Up Sale and Beauty Hub.
The Kate Sylvester Show
Experts at the modern femininity, the Kate Sylvester show is sure to be one to remember. The Kate Sylvester show is held on the Friday at 8.30pm just after the official opener to NZ Fashion Weekend. Premium tickets are around $60-$80 which includes a fun filled goodie bag, standard tickets are a lower price.
The Designer Pop-Up Sale
Designer gear at rock bottom prices – who isn’t excited about this one! The Designer Pop-Up Sale gives fashion week audiences the chance to pick out their own fashion, footwear and accessories on-site – items include one-off designs, samples and end of line stock.
